We are honored to introduce the Eron L. Coleman STEM Scholarship, named in memory of Mr. Eron Livingston Coleman, who served on our Board of Directors from 2020 until his passing in 2023. A graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Eron dedicated his life to a career in cybersecurity and had a deep passion for helping others. 

This scholarship is designed to ensure that his legacy lives on by supporting young Alabamians who share his passion for innovation. The scholarship will support students pursuing studies in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or other STEM fields, with a focus on those in the Montgomery area.

Award: $750 will be awarded to one (1) deserving student.

How to Apply

Please review all the requirements below and follow the steps to submit your application.

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements: 

  • Must be a current high school senior in the Montgomery, Alabama, area. 
  • Have a minimum 2.70 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. 
  • Must be accepted into a college or trade school. 
  • Must demonstrate financial need and a commitment to community. 
  • Must demonstrate interest in a STEM field, whether through class enrollment or nomination. 
  • Must complete all requirements by the deadline. 

Step 2: Prepare Your Materials

By the deadline, students or a counselor must submit the following criteria: 

  • Application Form: Access via the button below.
  • Personal Statement: Up to a 700-word essay. 
  • One Letter of Recommendation: From a nominating high school teacher, guidance counselor, or someone other than a family member or friend who can vouch for your character. 
  • Proof of College or Trade School Acceptance: Scholarship recipients will be required to provide an acceptance letter once available. 
  • High School Transcript: (Cumulative GPA must be 2.70 or higher). 
  • Resume: Should demonstrate your involvement in the local community.
